HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU!

2011

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praises will always be on my lips.” Ps. 34: 1

In United Estates, the month of November is set aside to count the blessings that God has bestowed upon the land, and to thank him for all his goodness. In view of all the difficulties in the land, many are asking: “What Thanksgiving will be like this year?” However, the grateful heart does not thank God for what it would like to have, but for the fact that God continues to provide the necessities of every day.

Our daily bread and our daily breath come through the courtesy of Almighty God. Did you know that two-thirds of the World population go to bed hungry every night? One-third is underfed or starving? In fact, it is reported that thirty people starved to death every minute in our world. I am encouraging you to turn to eyes on Somalia. Let me give you a few reasons to thank God for:

  • We ought to be thankful for the benefit of being one of God’s children.
  • We ought to be thankful for the burdens of life, proof that we are still alive.
  • We ought to be thankful for the air we breathe is free.
  • We ought to be thankful for the freedom of worship in America.
  • We ought to be thankful for our health, in spite of our little discomforts.
  • We ought to be thankful for our families and friends.

If in 1789 George Washington declared that the fourth Thursday of every November was to be Thanksgiving Day in America, The Word of God declares that every day should be a day of Thanksgiving in the life of every Christian. “Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Eph. 5:20

I give you a special invitation to our Thanksgiving week. Services will be held from November 13th through the 18th.

The celebration will be on Sunday the 20th at 11:00 AM.
We will have the privilege of listening to God’s Word through the voice of Rev. Marriot Valcin.

Come and celebrate with us, and bring all your friends!
