Redemption Baptist Church – Media Ministry
The Media Ministry is as old as the church itself. However, it was not until year 2005 that it was systematically organized under the leadership of Brother Lucius Métellus. Ever since, it has become an integral part of our worship service, very difficult to do without.
One of the goals of the Media Ministry here at Redemption Baptist Church is to enhance the worship experience of the Church, making it more appealing to our visually-driven generation. Through on screen Bible readings, song lyrics and sermon translations projection, this ministry tries to bridge the generation gap, which in our case, is made worse by a linguistic problem stemming from our being a trilingual congregation (Kreyòl, French, and English speaking).
In addition to recording various events, teachings and sermons, which are made available on CD or DVD, the Media Ministry has introduced technological innovations that extend our congregation far beyond the four walls of our sanctuary. On the church’s website (www.myredemption.org), live and archived services of the Church can be audio or video streamed through TuneIn or Youtube (www.youtube.com/c/RedemptionBaptistChurch). Redemption Radio, one of the latest creations of this ministry, broadcasts around the clock inspirational music, songs, and biblical reflections, aiming at keeping the listeners in a constant spirit of worship, praise, and adoration. One can tune in to Redemption Radio on TuneIn or by dialing (712) 432-7046.
One last achievement of the Media Ministry worth mentioning is the Mass Messaging Center that makes it possible to communicate a message to the members of a particular group or to the entire membership of the church by placing a single call or sending a single email. The system then dials all the numbers in the list of the targeted group or sends the email to each person on that list.
