Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16)
  • We believe there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen.1: 1; John 4:24)
  • We believe in the full deity of Jesus Christ (John 1:1); in His virgin birth (Is.7: 14; Mat 1:23; Luke 1:35); in His atoning death on the cross (Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14); in His bodily resurrection (John 11:25); in His ascension (Acts 1:11) in His personal return to take up His church before the Great Tribulation (1 Thes. 4:13-17). We also believe in His premillennial return to establish His kingdom on earth (Rev. 19:11-16).
  • We believe that all men are by nature sinful and lost, and that regeneration through the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation (Rom. 3:19)
  • We believe that Satan is a person; that he was good when he was created; but following his rebellion against the Most High, he became a fallen angel doomed to eternal perdition (Es. 14: 12-15; Ez. 28: 12-15; Rev. 20: 10)
  • We believe that Hell is a place of eternal punishment where the lost will suffer, being aware of their condition (Mat. 25: 46; Luke 16: 24).
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the holy Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believers, leads them in all truth, and by His indwelling, enables them to live a godly life (John 16:8)
  • We believe that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ at Calvary. (Act 13: 38-39).
We believe in the eternal security of the believers. (John 10:28-29)
  • We believe that the New Testament Church is an organized body of baptized believers practicing the ordinances prescribed by Scripture, and actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission. (Acts 2:41-42, 47; Mat. 28: 19-20).
  • We believe that baptism is a scriptural ordinance requiring the immersion of believers only (Acts 8:38-39).
  • We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a scriptural ordinance of the Church to be partaken by obedient Christians of like faith. (1 Co.11: 23-29).
  • We believe in the resurrection of life for the believers, and the resurrection of damnation for the lost (John 5:28-29).
