About R.B.C. Orchestra
RBC Orchestra, formerly as Redemption Baptist Church Band, was founded in 2003 by Maestro Elie Pierre who served as the conductor and led the band through many performances from cities of Orlando to Miami Beach, Florida.
As of summer 2013, a new conductor, Maestro Paul Ménard Timothée, was selected to lead the Orchestra after the departure of Elie Pierre who accepted the position of Senior Pastor of a church. Maestro Timothée has introduced and taught strings instruments like violin, viola, cello, and upright bass and has strategically moved to merge the new musicians with the existing brass and woodwind sections to form the Redemption Baptist Church Orchestra (RBC Orchestra).
Maestro continues to build and develop the skill of sight reading as well as the importance of mastering the playing skills of the instrument and the ability to develop and learn to play by ear. As a result, He holds skill building practices on Thursdays for string players from 5PM to 6:30PM, and brass and woodwind instruments from 7PM to 8:30PM. The full orchestra meets in one session on Saturdays from 5Pm to 7PM to learn and practice new songs.
The appearance and performance as an Orchestra took place at Redemption Baptist Church in July 2014 for the celebration of the church 24th Anniversary. Below are some of the great performances:
