The Redemption Baptist Church Music Department invites you, your family and friends to  “A RESURRECTION PRAISE AND WORSHIP” on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at 7:30 pm.

Three outstanding choirs will be performing the best of gospel and contemporary music from this era. Expect the unexpected: A surprise finale is in store for you. Please join us in celebrating the greatest miracle in human history: The Resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus is the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by His resurrection from the dead”. Romans (1:4). It is the resurrection of Jesus that reveals His true nature to all who will see: “God exalted Him at His right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance . . . and forgiveness of sins” (Acts 5: 30-31)

Without the resurrection of Christ, there would have been no church today. After Jesus’s arrest and death, the disciples were gone, powerless, and afraid. Peter renounced Jesus, while the rest of disciples ran away. It is hard to conceive of anything other than the resurrection of Jesus that would have led to this broken bunch of people sharing the message of Jesus in such a way that it grew into the largest religious movement ever known to man. Without the disciples’  unwavering confidence in the resurrection of Jesus, would they have risked everything, and in many cases been killed for their faith? People do die all the time for falsehoods that they themselves genuinely believe to be true. It is, however, impossible to believe that all of the disciples would be willing to die for something they knew to be a deliberate deception.

“The church did not create the resurrection stories; instead, the resurrection of Christ created the church.”

Br. Rolney Duverny, Conductor.
